OVER 50 HOURS OF PROVEN TRAINING FROM A LEADING INDUSTRY VETERAN TO BEGIN OR ENHANCE YOUR CAREER AS A KEY IN FILM & TV PRODUCTION

WITHOUT THE EXPENSE OF FILM SCHOOL

(OR EVEN HAVING TO LEAVE YOUR HOUSE)

If you have found this page, you are likely a working Script Supervisor, Script Supervision enthusiast, or are at least Script-curious. You might be interested in learning more because you have heard that our role is currently one of the fastest paths to Directing (true story), or you know that we are one of the few roles in the industry where, in most cases, we begin as a Department Head and almost never have to 'work our way up' to the salary and responsibility that entails, and the very idea of that makes you hyper aware of the need for solid training.

Or maybe you are already working in the industry in another role, such as Director, Assistant Director, Actor, Screenwriter, Production Coordinator or P.A., or you are a Stage Manager in live theater, and someone along the way advised you to look into Script Supervision because you have qualities they feel would make you great at the job.

And while exploring this role further, you may or may not have yet heard of me, or you may by now be, in fact, sick of hearing my bio (*sorry!), but hello: I'm Daniela Saioni, an internationally-recognized Script Supervisor based in Toronto, Canada who has worked in 10 countries with multiple A-list directors, performers and crews on shows and movies you have seen. I love my job and I have a specific approach to my work: I not-so-jokingly refer to myself as a "Director Whisperer".

I also greatly love my role as a teacher, mentor and coach. I have been training Script Supervisors and Directors since 1995 through my proven program that has led hundreds of people (in 27 countries and counting), including many who had never previously gone to film school or ever been on a film set, to successful film careers.

The Director Whisperer Training Program has taken off over the past few years since I took it online in 2020, and you have possibly already read the rest of the story of my own career and why I began teaching in 1995 in the first place (if not, feel free to check out my YouTube channel, or the longer course page at bit.ly/scriptsupervisor)

The Director Whisperer International Script Supervision Training Program has grown over the years into a living, breathing, ever-expanding resource made up of several parts, with the foundational training consisting of two main halves taught across 8 modules: the coverage class for filmmakers and script supervisors: AM I COVERED? THE ART OF VISUAL STORYTELLING FOR FILM & TV, and the SCRIPT SUPERVISION INTENSIVE, what I think of as the "macro" and the "micro" of our role, respectively, and I suggest you do the training in that order to get the full experience of what more than one of my alumni have described as 'a master's degree in Script Supervision'.

You get lifetime access because the program is intentionally meant to be experienced multiple times and on an ongoing basis as your career develops, to be interactive through group Zooms and Facebook lives and in-person meetups, and there are several layers with something for the absolute beginner to the seasoned veteran to tap into.

I am thrilled to have people from a wide range of experience levels in the program, however, I specifically designed it for Script Supervisors in the first ten years of their career with the goal of training and coaching my alumni towards the A-list shows. I know the strategies I have utilized to get myself there, as well as other strategies that have helped my students make their own career breakthroughs over the decades, and I love passing that kind of knowledge and coaching on to those currently in those critical first ten years of their careers. That is why in addition to the craft training, I include what I consider to be a lot of important content that focuses on career strategy.

This is a fully online, comprehensive career training program with 52 hours of lectures, plus ongoing added bonus talks and interviews, an introductory one-on-one zoom with me, direct feedback on two major homework assignments, a Certificate of Completion signed by me, searchable access to over 150 hours of archived live Q&As along with our ongoing weekly live Q&As in our class Facebook Group. The Live Q&As are scheduled to continue for at least the next two years for those who joined the program after January 2/24, so you have a go-to mentor and community as you move forward in your career.

Our Facebook Groups for current students and alumni also allow you to network with your fellow Director Whisperers around the globe. I have done several in-person meetups in five countries so far, and wonderful industry friendships have been forged. I believe the community that leading this program has enabled me to put together is the most valuable aspect of it, as we have been able to make a difference in our social and working conditions in multiple regions just by the very act of talking to each other. Because we are the smallest department on a film set, I cannot stress the importance of this enough.

I am one of the rare instructors who trains you in both internationally-recognized systems of paperwork and practices: US and UK, because in Canada we have to be fluent in both systems, and because I also want my alumni to be prepared to work internationally, as it has not only helped me stand out in my career, it keeps life fun.

And speaking of fun, let's talk about my current BUDDY OFFER:

If you have a good friend or know of a relative stranger in the first ten years of their Script Supervision career who would also like to train with me, reach out and see if they would like to enrol in the program with you as your training buddy. You can be each others' accountability partners and get through the earliest years of your career together, and cover for each other when you need to.

If this is of interest, email me at mondocinema@gmail.com with both your names and email addresses to let me know you will be registering together on the same day and I'll send you both a coupon code to use at checkout.

The current regular course fee of $ 1297 US is based on a low budget rate of pay for 1 week of indie non-union work, or about two days of pay on a union film set. It is already a very accessible rate for this level of training, and with this limited time BUDDY OFFER, if you register with a friend, you both save $300 US off the price, bringing the tuition down to $997 US

There is also a 4-payment plan option if you need it, with payments of $250 US a month after the coupon code is applied.

This offer ends at 11:59pm PST on July 4th.

..with this offer, you get the full Director Whisperer training program, future upgrades, plus every

Bonus Talk and Masterclass I've ever done

... and when Version 2.0 is released, you will get full, lifetime access to that without any upgrade fees.

Questions some of my top students have asked before enrolling

Do I need to purchase any software to take this class?

No! This is a course on how to do the job and do it well, not a course on software. While many of my students eventually make a choice to go with one of the major software options on the market, I will give you different workflow options ranging from fully manual to fully digital in this program. I actually recommend that for at least the first six months of your career you work fully manually, so that you will learn how to do the job and will not get flustered on the job should you go digital and weather or other issues disrupt your digital workflow. All the forms and templates I provide are created on a $10 shareware program called OpenOffice to allow for the maximum affordability.

To participate in the class itself, you will need to have an internet connection and upload the free Zoom software. To participate in bonus weekly live FAQ and our private Facebook group, you will need a free Facebook account.

It's such a complex job, can you really train me in 50 Hours?

Yes! Because I have been training script supervisors for 25 years and seen them thrive on set, I can tell you with full confidence that I will not only fully train you, but will save you years of trial and error and make you a valued member of the director's team with my specific Director Whisperer mindset approach.

I'm a Director (or Producer or DP or PM or AD). Is there any benefit to me doing the full program?

Filmmakers of all stripes have taken this program over the years and thanked me for it. Having an intimate understanding of the Script Supervisor's role has helped them make better use of the Script Supervisors they work with or hire. Many producers have noted how they got huge insights into production by seeing it through the eyes of a seasoned Script Supervisor. However, if you ONLY wish to take the coverage class, the cost for that is $297 US (plus applicable taxes for Canadian residents) and the link to register for that can be found here:

Does the Certificate of Completion really mean anything to anyone?

Many training programs offer Certificates of Completion, including mine. I can't speak for every union local universally valuing everyone's certifications, but I can proudly boast that I have numerous alumni on the rosters of almost every North American union local, and UK agency rosters. If you are unsure who to train with, always take a moment to research the credentials of your instructors on IMDB, as anyone judging the value of your training may take into account who you have trained with. Are they a respected veteran of the profession? Are they still actively working and up-to-date with what is happening on set? That's a big yes to both for me.

I still have more questions. Where can I contact you?
